Magic Mirror

Magic Mirror is an interactive virtual fitting room that lets users try on clothes through a camera. Choose from existing garments or upload your own clothing images to see how they look on you.

Use Case

Virtual clothing try-ons, exploring different outfits, experimenting with garments from a personal wardrobe, and previewing clothing when shopping online. Users can try on garments using clear photographs without needing the physical clothing item.

Target Audience

Fashion enthusiasts, online shoppers, and people interested in experimenting with clothing and virtual try-on technology.

How It Works

Magic Mirror uses Google's MediaPipe for real-time body tracking through a connected camera. Digital garments are aligned with the detected body skeleton to create a virtual try-on experience. Users can add new garments from photographs by selecting the clothing category and defining alignment points. A QR code enables mobile-based control of the application.

User Journey

  1. Launch Magic Mirror on a computer with a webcam or connected camera.
  2. Scan the on-screen QR code to control the application from a mobile device.
  3. Select a garment from the example clothing collection to try it on virtually.
  4. Alternatively, upload a photograph of a garment, select its clothing category, and follow the on-screen instructions to align it.
  5. View the selected garment positioned on your body through the camera.
